The Messengers is a vocal group founded on 11 November 2002 and directed by Matija Škvorc in the parish church of Blessed Virgin Mary of Sorrows in Zagreb.

The Messengers are especially passionate about the Christian music and a cappella singing. They have performed at different kinds of church/music events in Zagreb, Šibenik, Ogulin, Koprivnica and Đakovo. They have held charity concerts whenever they were asked to. In 2008 in the collaboration with the Laudantes band from Šibenik they performed at Uskrs fest and won the audience award; in 2009 the band won the second prize by the judges at Tonka fest. The Messengers performed at the occasion of the pilgrimage in Macerata, Italy in front of 55 000 people (2009).

Since The Messengers wanted to record the special arrangements and the sound they have been developing for years. In 2011 they recorded their album of traditional gospel and negro spiritual songs which was released by Laudato. As the Messengers of the Good news they put the name of the song “Good news“ as the title of the album and they want to share that message with everyone.
